Hogarth brings an element of comfort into fine chocolate. Their flavoured bars such as Gianduia (made with local New Zealand hazelnuts), Kumara (sweet potato crisp), Sarsaparilla, Buttered Toast & Sea Salt, or Maple Walnut are impeccable and not only satisfy your sense of flavour, but bring with them elements of calm and peacefulness. Cozy is another word that comes to mind with these bars. I’m sure that has to do with Karl’s finesse for combining flavours, but perhaps a bit of that New Zealand serenity also makes it into each bar.

Here’s a tip: toast some sourdough bread half way in your toaster oven, place a couple squares of Hogarth’s Gianduia, and finish toasting until the edges of the chocolate just start to darken.
