Myio The Midge
Hello, I’m Myio the midge. A midge is an insect from the genus Forcipomyia. We midges are the main pollinator for cacao trees around the world. Without us, you would have no chocolate!
I’m very curious to learn about bean-to-bar chocolate makers and all the incredible people connected to them. I’m also eager to share this wonderful information with you!

Cacao nectar. No specific variety or cultivar, as each one has its own wonderful and unique flavour!
-
How can I decide?!? Have you not tried the incredible fine chocolate sold here at Bean To bar World? Or Through the app? That’s an impossible question to answer.

The orchestra of birds singing in the Amazon. But I also love the playlists here at Bean To Bar World. I use them when I’m tasting my single-origin chocolate bars. Like some Tanzanian artists when I’m enjoying the beautiful fruity and toasty notes of a Tanzanian bar.

I love listening to birds sing, or going on long flying sessions around a cocoa tree. Reading up on cacao and chocolate research, cooking, and agroforestry are also some of my favourite things to do.
-
Clean and bare cocoa plantation floors (not the best place for me). Pesticides. Cadra cautella, who ruin all the hard work we midges do.
