Francois Boucher was a French painter of the 18th Century. His beautiful style is certainly depicted here in this painting of high society enjoying some chocolate in the form they took it: as a drink. The decorative and intricate elegance of the room and clothing exemplifies the elegance of flavour found only in fine chocolate.
