No, chocolate is made from the seed of the cacao fruit, which grows on the tree Theobroma cacao. The cacao tree originated in the Northern Amazon region of South America. We refer to the seed of the cacao tree as cocoa beans, and this is what we use to make chocolate.

Coffee comes from the coffee plant, in the genus Coffea, and originated in Africa. The seeds of some species of Coffea are what we refer to as coffee beans, and are used to make coffee.
