Do you want to learn about the over 5000 years of chocolate history? Where did it originate, and how did it transform over the years into the various products we have today?
This tasting will include sampels of cacao, chocolate, and include both eating and drinking chocolate. Some of the samples will be a bit strange, so best for those with an open mind. No samples will contain dairy (all vegan), gluten, or nuts (although I can't guarantee no traces of these).
We will learn together, it will be very interactive, there will be music, and there will be time for questions and purchasing bars if you wish. Anyone who loves to learn is welcome! Come with an open mind to try new and unique flavours.
Includes: Flight of 10 samples, Informative handout.
Important! Please come hungry or have a very small meal beforehand, or have your meal after the tasting if possible. Being full limits your ability to taste. Please do not wear perfumes as this will also interfere with yours and others ability to pick up the aromas.
About The Chocolate: These are made by small founder-owned craft chocolate makers from around the world using fine flavoured cacao from ethical and transparent sources (above Fairtrade standards). Some ingredients are organic certified. If you have any dietary requests, please contact me. Check out my online shop at www.beantobarworld.com to get an idea of the chocolate I use.
About The Host: Working in chocolate since 2007, and is a chocolate sommelier, chocolateir, and chocolate maker. Created a bean-to-bar tasting compass, the bean-to-bar map app, and has hosted countless tasting and chocolate making classes over the years. Learn more at beantobarworld.com/about
