Anyone!

If you have many chocolate related questions you want to hash out together, this is a great way to do it.

If you need direction with how to become a chocolate taster, chocoate maker, chocolatier, or understanding the history/science/craft of chocolate, this is also for you.

+ I Received Live Tutoring Vouchers From A Class/Product. How Do I redeem Them?

Many products or classes through Bean To Bar World, or my other website, Chocolate with Geoseph, come with live chat vouchers to book a prepaid video chat session.

These can be used here, or for any virtual lesson as well.

Click on the orange "Redeem Coupon" button at the top of the reservation form (see below) and enter in the code on your voucher.


+ The reservation form says it costs $30.

You will see that the amount due will be zero, unless you wish to add more time in 30 minute incraments.

+ How Do I Prepare for the online lesson?

All you need is a computer or smart device with a good working camera and microphone, and compatible with Zoom.

You will see when you fill out the form if you want to set up a tasting that also includes samples and tools shipped to you before the event, or just the service of guiding you.

Regardless of what you book, I will contact you before the session to ensure you have everything you need, and to ensure you get your supplies if applicable.


+ Can I change the booking date?

I understand the challenge of busy schedules and flexible lifestyles. I may be able to change the date and time of your event, with at least a 24 hour notice.

I am able to accomdate reasonable requests for date/time changes. However, there are limits and exceptions. To find out more about your situation, please don't hesitate to contact me.


+ What If We Run Out Of Time?

When you make your booking, you book the time you think you will need in 30 minute increments. After you book, I will let you know if you need more or less time for your lesson.

If we do happen to go over the pre-purchased time, and you want to keep going to finish up, we can easily finish up what we are doing, and you can pay for the extra time afterwards.

I'll respect your time if you respect mine, so please stick to the time paid for, and be in the chat room on time! If you are more than 15 minutes late, you may not get a chance to extend the time, or the session may be cancelled without a refund.


+ But I'm in a different time zone.

No problem! The booking form is made to accomodate bookings from all over the world, regardless of what timezone you are in. Just look through the dates and times and find one that suits you best.


+ What If The Video Chat Isn't Working?

I have not run into issues yet. I now use Zoom to offer all my virtual lessons and tastings. Please check out their website if you have never used Zoom before. Here is a link which lists Zoom compatibility with various devices. If you still have questions or are worried, don't hesitate to contact me.


+ Do I need a Zoom account to use it?

No, you do not need a Zoom account. I will send you a link and code for you to join the meeting with one simple click! Don't hesitate to contact me if you have more questions. I understand technology can get confusing sometimes.


+ Are there any additional costs or fees?

No, Aside from the taxes you pay on the extra hours you purchase, there are no costs associated with the lesson or with the meeting platform we will use.

Keep in mind there may be costs on your end if you are using your phone data to communicate via Zoom, just as there are with any online service. Ensure you are on Wifi and not data, if you wish to preserve your mobile data.
