The name “Schoki” was the word Yoann’s Swiss German grandmother would use for “a small piece of chocolate”. It was a treat she would offer him when Yoann would visit his grandparents growing up in Switzerland.

Today, Yoann has taken his lifelong love for chocolate and has developed an incredible line of fine bean-to-bar single origin darks, milk, and inclusion bars such as the freeze-dried raspberry bar. The flavours of his single origins are crisp and clear. The texture of these bars is as smooth as silk, and reminiscent of Northern European chocolate. A European style chocolate made in Squamish, BC, Canada where the mountains and the pine trees also resemble the scenery you would see going on a hike in Switzerland.

The milk chocolate bars are extremely smooth and creamy without being too sweet, such as Schoki’s 62% dark milk bar with nibs. The hazelnut milk bar made with BC hazelnuts and offer a bright bold creamy, milky, and nutty flavour profile also beckoning to the flavours of Switzerland, but made with higher quality cacao and less sugar than what you would normally find on the shelves in a Swiss chocolate shop. The 85% Nicaragua bar is shockingly subtle as far as intensity goes with no bitterness or astringency. The intensity is comparable to many other 70% dark bars from other makers.
