Based in Quezon City, Philippines
Husband and wife team Karl and Kay started their chocolate making journey in 2019 with Filipino grown cacao beans grown on Kay’s family cacao farm in Batangas.
Kay is a third generation cacao farmer, and this is one aspect that makes 1919 Chocolate so special. Not only do they make their own bean-to-bar chocolate, but they grow and ferment their own cacao as well. A rare combination.
They began testing the market with family and friends, and now have a flight of award winning chocolate for the world to enjoy.
Some interesting flavoured bars include horchata, dulce de lece, and toasted milk with strawberry.
