Sarap! Durian Basil Hot Chocolate

Kasama is back with their durian white chocolate bar. I’m not a fan of white chocolate bars, but this is one I find very addictive. You also have to be a durian fan.

They durian they use is from Mindanao in the Philippines. Kasama has many ties to the Philippines that you see expressed in their chocolate bar lineup.

I’m also a huge fan of basil - and always have some growing in some pot or another.

This is just heated milk blended/frothed together with 5-6 squares of this Kasama Durian chocolate bar, and a few leaves of basil. That’s it. The key to a good hot chocolate of any sort if texture and froth. It is a must. You can achieve this with a steam attachment on your espresso machine, battery operated hand whisk, or a Magic Bullet type blender to mix it all together.
